DMV Hearing
If the police took your driver’s license when they pulled you over for drunk driving, they gave you a temporary license and notice that your driver’s license will be suspended. You have 10 days to request a DMV hearing. If you don’t ask for a hearing, you won’t get one and your license will be suspended-even if you have a good defense.
If you have been arrested for DUI, you need to act quickly to request a DMV hearing within the required 10-day period. If you retain our office, we will request a DMV hearing on your behalf and we will also request a stay on your part to obtain a temporary license for you. This temporary license will allow you to work between the time of your arrest and the time of your DMV hearing, which will be set within 30 days.
